Alright, quick blog to let you know what's up with me. Busy, busy, busy. It seems that my friends have really taken control of most of my time for the next week, which I am pretty happy about, actually. It's going to be a great week just hanging out and having fun until they leave for college again. Bad for this site, though, of course, because I really don't plan on updating until probably Sunday, but I might have time to sneak in a blog and answer some emails on Thursday... maybe.
First off, I made a ton of money last week babysitting and I plan on blowing all of it this week and I'm very happy about that. It's good to just let loose and do what you want for a while.
Tonight we played laser tag and it was really really fun and we are already planning on doing it again on Thursday night. I beat everyone at 14,150 points, but I'm pretty awesome at laser tag, so it wasn't unexpected. I'm good at coming up with sweet strategies. Hope I can beat my score on Thursday.
Tomorrow we probably aren't going to be doing anything, but Pineapple Express is coming out on DVD, so I think I might just have to rent that and invite some people over to watch it with me. It'll be nice to see James Franco again, after seeing his stunning performance in Milk last weekend. I recommend that all of you go see Milk. It was a very powerful film.
Wednesday we are going on a road trip! My friend is utalizing her new GPS to get us to a Sonic because there are so many commercials for Sonic on tv, but there isn't one by us. It'll be a fun and weird way to waste a day, which I am really looking forward to. Later that night, we are exchanging Christmas gifts (very late, I know, but it's like Christmas all over again!) and we going into the city to another cool restaurant for dinner. It's been forever since we've gone in to the city and I am definitely missing it. Great stuff always happens when we go into the city. Katie and I practically lived there in the fall and another trip in is very overdue!
I'll let you know about this weekend in a future post. I'm tired and I want to wake up early to clean in the morning (which I'll explain later as well). I apologize to my affies and hostees again! No time for anything! Busy, busy, busy!

[Update: 12/28/08] I'm actually thinking of going with my original music site plan because I really have developed a new passion for good unknown bands and I've gotten a lot of positive feedback from people who are interesting in supporting me with it. I even discovered a brand new band today that I absolutely love and I would really want to feature them and tell everyone about their music... and I have a feeling that there will be a lot of those musicians in 2009 that I will feel the same way about. So, I'm doing it. I'm making the site. I'm gonna need some help finding good music, though, so everyone who reads this is going to need to do whatever they can to help me out... I know you will! I'm back and forth with this idea, but I think that once I actually make the site, it'll work out in the end and be fabulous! [/Update]
[Update: 12/30/08] Nevermind. I change my mind too much. I'm not gonna make it. Sorry. I'm just going to feature new musicians on here every once and a while. I just don't have time to have a regularly updated site at the moment. [/Update]
Sorry I haven't really been updating recently. I've been pretty busy with school, work, and just life in general. I also recently decided to get rid of pretty much everything in my room that I haven't used in about a year, so that is going to be a pretty big project too. I just finished my first semester of college, so I have a month off to finish working on that, though.
I've also been spending most of my online time working on the New Jersey Locksley Street Team, which I am a leader of, along with my friend Katie. If you want to check it out and get involved, go to http://myspace.com/njlocksleyst
Christmas time is here! And I've been pretty busy with that too. My dad runs the Home for the Holidays night in town, so I've been contributing by running the website and helping him with little tasks for it. It was a very successful evening and I loved every minute of it! Especially the free hot drinks and cookies
That evening was on December 6th.
Christmas day was... interesting. My dad fell after coming off of a fire truck at an oven fire around noon. He had to go to the hospital and he and my mom waited for 4 hours to see a doctor. Luckily he only has a pull leg muscle, but he can't really move from the couch for a few weeks.
I got a lot of great stuff for Christmas, including a Voyager phone, a laptop table, some clothes, shoes, jewelry, a bulletin board, and a Michael Phelps calendar. Today I also went to the store and bought myself some gifts for being so awesome, of course. I got 2 headbands, 2 handbags, and a wallet, all at fantastic after Christmas sale prices
The holiday season seemed to go pretty fast this year.
School has been a pain. Way too many end of the year papers due, which didn't help my stress level. I have two grades in already, which are of course, 2 A's.
I also recently went to another Locksley concert. This one was at Vintage Vinyl in Fords, New Jersey. I had a blast with Katie and Kristen there. It was a free concert at the record store and it was great because there were only about 10 actually fans other than us there that day, which made it pretty much a private concert. They played for about a half hour and then took pictures and signed stuff afterward.
We got to chatting with Jesse for a little bit and he explained why they couldn't make it last month (he had had a bad sinus infection during the Chose or Lose tour) and that they are planning on doing a lot more small shows now that they are back in the city and done with major tours. They also liked playing Vintage Vinyl and he said that they would try to play there again sometime. Fine by me
Jesse then signed my street team key chain and Kai signed Katie's. My key chain is now even sweeter! Jesse was really careful not to mess it up, but of course I already screwed it up... which I don't feel like getting into the story at the moment.
I got all of the guys to sign my cd cover too by each of their names on their individual pages. Also, Sam signed his page in a hilarious way. In one picture, he had a curled up mustache, so on all the other pictures, he drew curly mustaches on himself. He then also drew a curly mustache on his signature. It was definitely the best autograph I've ever gotten.
I decided that I'm probably not going to go along with my original plan to make the music site. If I haven't been able to update this site in so long, then I am definitely not going to be able to update something else along with it. It was just another failed online project that never really got started. Maybe it'll happen one day... maybe.
So that's all for now. I'm sorry to all my hostees and affies that I have been neglecting in the last few weeks. It's been a pretty busy month in general and I promise to comment on your blogs and answer all your questions before the year is out. This will probably be the last blog of 2008, so see you next year!

Music and My New Idea

Ok so I don't really have a plan for this blog, but I thought I'd just go for it because I haven't done a blog in a while and it's time. I was about to blog on Friday night, but then I got kidnapped and you know, plans change when that happens.
I thought I would first mention that lately I've been reading a lot of blog entries that have been saying that they are looking for new music to listen to, so I compiled a playlist that I made of completely awesome songs that everyone needs to hear. Check it out! Overload of Awesome Playlist.
Also, I literally just decided to make a new subdomain off of this one. It will be dedicated to just really good music and once a week I will post a story about a musician that I am really into, with information, links, pictures and maybe a video if it's available on YouTube.
For the most part, it will be pretty interactive-based. Viewers will be able to send in their favorite bands for me to check out and if I like them enough and haven't heard of them before, I will feature them and give you a plug for the suggestion. So get thinking about what musicians you want featured on my new site!
I'm going to use this new site project to procrastinate on writing my paper today. It probably won't be up until Christmas break starts, though, because I have finals and projects to work on for the next couple weeks. I'm pretty excited about it, though. So stick around to find out some more information on it, including the name, which I haven't even decided on yet... that's how new this idea is! Any suggestions?
I was going to blog about my new phone and what I did this weekend, but I'm way too tired to think about writing coherent sentences at the moment. So see ya!
